The 26-year-old son of a Congress leader in Karnataka has been arrested over a hit-and-run incident in Udupi that resulted in a motorcycle rider’s death in the early hours of November 13, police said.
Prajwal Shetty allegedly rammed his Thar into a motorcycle ridden by Mohammed Hussain, a 39-year-old resident of Belapu village, around 5 am, when the victim was going to work. Shetty, who was returning home after dropping off a friend, fled from the scene with his vehicle.
A grievously injured Hussain was found at the accident spot on the Punchalakadu-Belapu road by locals who shifted him to a local hospital and later to KMC Manipal
