Amidst the ongoing row over the Udupi washroom video incident, a member of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Khushbu Sundar, Thursday dismissed rumours of hidden cameras in the college restroom.
On July 18, three students of a paramedical college in Udupi were suspended for allegedly filming other students by hiding a camera in the girls’ washroom.
Responding to media queries Thursday on whether the rumours are true, Sundar said, “Absolutely not. That is why I said that if there are rumours of hidden cameras in the toilet. Please understand there is nil (evidence), nothing to it. There is a rumour which is going around, false videos which are going around.” Since it is an educational institution, there cannot be any hidden cameras, Sundar said.
